The Church of the Apostles, an Episcopal Church in Coppell, Texas welcomes all Christians. Led By Rector Tim Cherry, members come from all over the Dallas & Fort Worth Metroplex to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Hence, all of our parishioners will say that fellowship reigns and families comprise the church.
At the Church of the Apostles, we take Jesus’ command to love our neighbors as ourselves. Additionally, we welcome all people as specially created and individually loved by God. At the Church of the Apostles, your faith and understanding of God is an individual journey. In addition, we invite you to join us for Saturday evening or Sunday morning services.
Thus, our pastoral ministry includes baptism, confirmation, reconciliation, marriage, and funerals.
Baptism, the sacrament by which one becomes a full member of the Christian Church. Hence, all baptized persons are welcome to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion or the Eucharist, which is our central act of worship.
Confirmation, the rite by which a baptized person takes on the responsibilities of membership of the Christian Church that at one time godparents maintained after Baptism.
Reconciliation, the sacrament, in which one may confess personal sins in complete privacy and confidentiality in the presence of a priest, who assures the penitent of God’s forgiveness and reconciliation.
Marriages take place in the church with required counseling by the clergy. Divorced persons may marry in the church with permission from the bishop.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for anyone. A reception can follow the ceremony in the Church or Patrick’s Place. After consultation, the burial of ashes can occur in Patrick’s Place as well.
In conclusion, The Church of the Apostles, a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, looks forward to meeting all Christians.
