Bishop Stanton

The Right Rev. James Stanton

Consecrated the sixth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas on March 6, 1993, and now retired, Bishop Stanton’s episcopacy was well-known for his strong advocacy of biblical authority and his success in strengthening mission and evangelism ministries throughout the diocese. Bishop Stanton is a scholar whose life and ministry have reasserted traditional values of Christian faith, order, and morality.

In a recent visit to the Church of the Apostles on November 3, 2019, Bishop Stanton officiated in Baptising, Confirming, Receiving, and Reaffirming members of the congregation. Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation were conducted after the Baptism and were presented in separate groups by their presenters. The bishop laid hands on the participants and blessed everyone.

It was a joyous occasion and all were thrilled to see Bishop Stanton again. The Congregation invited him to come back soon. Here are pictures of his visit.
