The City of Carrollton, located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, provides a vibrant corporate and residential community. Carrollton’s location and business cost advantages attract and support a diverse local economy. Thus, over 5,000 businesses call this city home. In addition, manufacturing, construction trades, finance, insurance, real estate and wholesale companies provide jobs, jobs and more jobs.
Residents come to the City for its high quality of life, abundant parks, schools and safe neighborhoods. In 2008, MONEY Magazine ranked Carrollton 15th in the country as the Best Place to Live. Forbes Magazine recently ranked the city #12 for “America’s Best Places to Move.”
Carrollton is home to a Baylor Medical Center. It is a fully-accredited, full-service, 237-bed acute care facility. The Center also includes 24-hour emergency services, a Weight Loss Surgery Program, Senior Health Care Center, Center for Breast Health, Asthma Center and a maternity program, among other program and care features. Also, there are two swimming facilities, a senior center, homestead museum, tennis center, and an amphitheater. In addition, there are playgrounds, playing fields, hiking and biking trails, and picnic areas scattered throughout the city. In addition, two Carrollton18-hole golf courses at the Indian Creek Golf Club provide a rating among the top municipal golf courses in the state.
